Is Kikyo evil?

I hate kikyo so yes I think she's evil but that's my opinion.

This one is a yes and a no.
Yes wise: She is trying to kill Inuyasha because she was betrayed by "Inuyasha" when it was actually Naraku.
No wise: Long ago when Inuyasha wasn't pinned to the tree, Kikyou was indeed in love with Inuyasha and didn't mind being around him and such. She was actually much nicer back then than now.

this is rather one sided...because i hate kikyo. but not for the normal 'she's a b*&%%' but honestly, i have reasons.

1) she tried to kill InuYasha
-granted she was angry cause 'he' killed her. yet even after she learned the truth...she still persisted to torture the poor kid!!!

2) she tried to kill Kagome
- yes if she really wanted to, she would have but she still shot at the defenseless girl who did nothing but try to help her!

3) she gave the jewel to Naraku
- there is NO excuse for this. the excuse that she is going to take them both out at once, oh please! without that jewel, Naraku would never have been able to make Kagura or Kanna...and later on he would never have had the strength that he gained and the lives lost would not have happened!! its like your country giving weapons of mass destruction to their enemy to claim that they will defeat them later cause of it. no...doesn't work that way.

4) she tried to take InuYasha to hell...with Kagome watching!!!

-again, she knew what really happened but she wanted company? how did that decision come about? 'hey honey, i'm bored, so you're coming to hell with me???'

5) she told Tsukbaki she could kill Kagome but not to hurt InuYasha.

-nuff said there, after Kagome had protected Kikyo and ...well...yeah.

6) Kikyo blames Kagome for hurting Yasha in the first movie and shoves Kagome down the well praying she can't return, not caring if Kagome can help the situation, her actions were ruled by jealousy.

i will stop here, though i have so much more i can rant about!!!! yes, Kikyo is EVIL!!!!

Anyone who has watched the show and PAYED ATTENTION would know that asking "Is Kikyou evil?" Is a to black and white question. She is a very complex character and its more about personal preferance than anything. People who like her say she isnt and people who dont say she is. I believe she is both. Sometimes she is good and sometimes she is evil. Kikyou doesn't choose sides thats why it throws everyone off.
