Does the recent copies of Rub/Saph have the berry update in?

Post by Symos »

If I or someone I know were to buy a copy of ruby or Saphire now, would I still need to run the berry update? I have the update program in my copy of FireRed if it is needed, just wondering if the recent copies of Rub/saph already have the update.

Do you have Ruby/Sapphire version? What do you mean by "berry update".

As you know, you can planet berries. After a year, all time based features stop, meaning berries won't grow, you can't make Umbreon or Espeon or the like. I was wondering if this was fixed or do I have to use the method desbribed in the firered manual.

I have Saphire and a while ago I was reading about this somewhere.
I remember reading that you can have the version of the game replaced for a 'fixed one' if you take it back to store you got it. They made a sincere apology for the flaw.
Chances are all new stock of the game are fixed now. :)

Apparently you can do it yourself without going to a store. You need the following:
The game you want to fix: (Ruby of Saphire.)
A copy of FireRed/LeafGreen or Emerald
Two Game boy Advance units (Any combination of GBAs GBA SPS or a Game Boy Player for Gamecube.)
GBA cable.
Load up FR/LG/EM in one of the GBAs. On the title screen hold select and press B.
Connect the cable's player one plug in the FR/LG/EM GBA and connect the Player 2 end to a GBA with Ruby or Saphire.
Follow the on screen instructions on the FR/LG/EM GBA.
