Indeed, and I'm quite curious on how a fight between them where they are now in the series would work out. Surely Lee can use Asakujaku just like Gai-san can, if so, he'd probably win.

I forgot where, but in the range of...episode 40+ or something, it explains why Lee loves Gai so much.

But yes, for now, I guess you can say that Gai is a father-figure to the boy.

He could be the weakest character in Naruto for all I care, if I only liked him because he was strong, then there wouldn't be any reason why I should like him.

Besides that, Lee is 10x stronger than Gaara when he uses the Hachimon Tonkou, and that's the truth. So go flaunt your favorite character somewhere else, because this is a discussion for Lee.

I'll explain this, though you might have to do alot of reading, sorry.


Well, you see, Lee was a "Loser" ninja. He couldn't do Ninjutsu or Genjutsu, try as he might, but he kept practicing nonetheless. One day, Gai happened upon Lee during a training session and gave him words of encouragement from the heart. Afterward, when Lee finally became a Genin, he was in Gai's squad. He pledged to Gai, that he would prove that hard work could beat a Genius and Gai supported his statements. One day when Lee was training to try and defeat Hyuuga Neji, the Genin that scoffed at his dream, and fell down and started weeping. Gai approached him, and Lee asked him why he came, and Gai told Lee that he was a special kind of Genius, a Genius of hard work. Lee then said that he once thought that he could train twice or even three times as hard as Neji and would be able to defeate him. He then said that he was starting to think that mabey hard work couldn't beat a Genius and that mabey he couldn't do it. Then Gai told Lee the words that would stick with him for the rest of his life: "For those who don't believe in themselves, Hardwork is worthless!!"

Afterwards, Gai trained Lee, and Lee started learning the techniques that Gai knew and even started dressing like him and cutting his hair like Gai's. Gai helped Lee achieve his goal by training him and molding him into a man that could achieve his goal, and that's why Lee immulates him so much, because he's a father figuor to him.

I think that more or less explains it.

I wasn't trying to be rude, I was trying to show you the irrelevency of your comment. It's like going into a discussion about hamburgers and saying that hot dogs are better, it's off topic and just assinine.
