Re: teach me this magical language of which you speak!!!plea
WAIT!!! how do you say "your dumb" in japanese...my brther ALWAYS says that to me...so now i can but he wont know!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Re: teach me this magical language of which you speak!!!plea
and what does "kawaii" mean???
Re: teach me this magical language of which you speak!!!plea
Ah...*wonders a bit why no one answered after a day at school*
In any case...saying someone's dumb is just basically calling them a "baka". There's probably another way to say it in a ruder way, but I'm a little foggy in the head at the moment.
Kawaii = cute
But with that 2nd "i" at the end makes it an adjective.

Re: teach me this magical language of which you speak!!!plea
and "otaku" means "geek or house" right??? then how come it says "otaku" above our icon things???....theree calling me a geek!!! HOW DARE THEY!!! * takes glasses off qyickly and hides them behinde my back*...
Re: teach me this magical language of which you speak!!!plea
Uchi/Ie = house
Otaku = geek
Actually, for the most part at the beginning, being called an "otaku" is a bit of a degration of a person's status. It's like talking down to someone because one thinks they're inferior to the rest of the world.
However, it has changed over the recent events and years till what we know now. People freely call themselves "otaku" without much of a care. It just expresses in words that they love something very much (some maybe to the total point of dangerous obsession, but yeah).

ah ok i see...ha ha thats funny
Re: teach me this magical language of which you speak!!!plea
how do you know all this...how long did it take you to know it so well???
Re: teach me this magical language of which you speak!!!plea
I wouldn't exactly say I'm "well" at this thing. There's some simple stuffs that I can't really do all that good, and some people can (like giving directions in Japanese...> <).
For the time I've spent with learning, my school's offered Spanish, French, Hawaiian, and Japanese languages. We use to have Latin, but the teacher quit. So I've been learning about 3 years right about now.

Re: teach me this magical language of which you speak!!!plea
Baka = idiot, fool, dumb, moron (you get the drift. lol)
Shut up = Urusai
Good-bye = Sayorana
I must tell you though, if you plan on using these words I'm translating for you on here, it might get me into trouble.
So maybe try refraining from shooting these at anyone who might step on your foot.

It should be noted that "Urusai" is primarily an adjective that means "noisy", so one can say "Urusai tokoro" wich means "Noisy place" without sounding rude

Shh!
Yeah. I gave her that one since it was at the top of my head...only in the past minute or so did I realize I gave the wrong thing.
Still, there's several ways of saying it. Any suggestions on which one it should be?
I'm pretty sure my teacher would probably want to smack me right now though.
