my friend reconmended it for me, he sayd it was funneh. i think i might pick it up, but im interested in peoples opinion on it.

I read like 3 or 4 volumes of it from my school library. The story was all right but some was cliche', but I guess it's worth reading when you are totally bored.

I didn't really get it, but I thought it was interesting. That one guy seems kinda sad, though. I think he's got issues.

I watched the anime, and it was probably one of the worst I've seen. I'm hesitant to pick up the manga for just that reason.

What was the anime like?

The anime had only 4 episodes, so obviously it was never properly finished. Every episode was devoted to a distraut someone who bought an 'animal' at the pet shop and how they met an early demise. There was a detective, but he did absolutely nothing except show up at the shop and make threats to close the place down. The series ended without any explanations.

O . . . kay. The manga is actually a lot better than the anime, I guess.

I might give it a try as long as the anime sounds pretty foreign to the manga. I don't wish to blow 10 bucks to read the same crap I trudged through the first time.

They may have it at a public library or something.

I know what you mean. The anime was crap compared to the book. But i really like Petshop overall. I recommend it

The manga should be better, just for the fact that it's completed. The anime was cut short, so I think that's why it didn't go anywhere. I doubt I would have liked the anime even if they had finished it though. Had a lot of potential but had some pretty lame plot lines.
