heh...i dunno, i thing the 4th IS naruto...though, my only proof is when the the 3rd is fighting orochimaru and uses that sould sealing jutsu, it seems that theres no way to seal the soul in another person, the death gods arm reaches through the users body, grabs the targets soul, rips it out and drags it into the users body and seals it there, and seeing as the sealing mark on the third is exactly the same as narutos (i think). Also, the 3rd said that the user and the targets souls will fight each other for all time once the technique seals a soul, meaning that, if the 4th somehow did make the nine tails go into a baby, his soul would get traped in there too...

It is scary if they found out that their mother's the same. There's been a lot of interviews with the creator(Masashi Kishimoto) but, none of the interviewer's mentioned it.*sigh* The 3rd Hokage probably knows Naruto's mother, after all he was close to the 4th hokage.

i always thought that naruto's mom died at birth!

mostly likely naruto's mom died in Childbirth, or that his mother is part of Anbu, or has died...
