I've noticed in this thread that DVD becomes a link to Ask.com for dvds. Is this supposed to happen?

(It may do so here.)
Seems to be from a company called intelitext. I'm running spyware and virus scans at the time of writing to make sure it isn't my system, but I would like to know if it is the case for anyone else.

Re: Adverts in posts
Yeah, it's there for me too.
Re: Adverts in posts
I concur. It could be two things; Ken might have added that as a click through ad or you might have installed something that provides the intellisense for the ads. This is common on many sites now, at least for me.
I would suspect that it was Ken as the links also contain a refernce to AA. I don't really see it as a problem as they don't really do anything unless you click on them. You are clicking on them right? Just remember, click throughs generate fractions of pennies and it costs a lot to run this site. We begs the question, you are clicking on them right?

Yes, it was me. For now I put them only on the forums as a test. Unlike most ads of this sort, these are CPM, meaning they make money just by being shown, regardless of whether or not people click on them. I'm not expecting them to help with the finances a whole lot, but so far I haven't found them to be really annoying or anything, so even if they bring in an extra $10-20 a month I think it'd be worth it to keep them.

Oh...so I can stop clicking them?

Glad it's not my computer.

I always encourage people to only click on ads that sound interesting to them. It's not fair to the advertisers to click on ads that you don't care about just to try to help earn money for the website.
