No sorry I havent...is it new?
it's actually the 3rd version ever made.in the game you have to begin the game with Pikachu and he follows you around, and you can't evolve it unless you trade it to another version and do it there.
wow.....that sucks......cant evolve a pikachu. But sometimes for some pokemon its good not to evolve them too quick so they can learn all the techniques they need to learn at stage 1.
Yes for example a Breloom (Its a grass fighting mushroon) Its pre-evolved state (Shroomish) envolves into Breloom ay lvl 23. But it learns a wicked attack called spore in level 54... Yes, it means a LOT of training and Heart scales to get the lost moves...

Wait your talking about yellow version so I'm guessing you might not know the latest pokemon (excluding the ones released in japan lately) hehe, woops.

He hasn't become a master and will you quit saying he's not letting them evolve? they've either chosen not to, can't, or haven't gotten to that point yet. Or they have evolved. And in some cases, it is better to keep them unevolved - like crazy said, they learn their moves faster that way. And sometimes the moves you can't learn unless you're unevolved, like Torchic.

If they haven't gotten to the point where they evolve then all that shows is that Ash is a crappy trainer. :P There is no reason why a pokemon shouldn't be able to evolve if the the proper conditions are present.

Ash has gotten stronger and improved quite alot.Funny why he doesnt want his pokemon to evolve... too bad he still hasnt become a pokemon master..

To Janners: Mmm...Yup. You can't evolve Pikachu in the Yellow version cause Pikachu doesnt want to..But someone once told me that if you trade Pikachu you can evolve it using the thunderstone..Im not quite sure if its true though cause I havent tried it yet.

Okay here's the deal.

Ash hasn't said ONE WORD about becoming a Pokemon Master since the good ol' days in season one. Since then (well, since season 6) his battle skills have dropped. Like before, no matter how obvious the winner would be, it was always fun to see Ash battle coz he thought of all the million ways you could win in a bad situation. He wasnt all that crappy.
I aint denying that he is, but he wasnt (and still isnt) all around crappy like May.

As for evolution...the pokemon have their own choices in the anime, which really sucks if you're a hard core trainer and you want your pokemon to evolve but it doesnt want to.
Ash is nice enough not to force them, but it's weird that they dont want to.
Um...yea.
