well all i know is that he was turned in to a vampire by some kinda chip i think it was and as a true vampire he has no weaknesses.

he was not turned into a vampire by the chip!! He clearly shows that he has control over them in episode 4! Damn.... he is a pure vampire. Son of Dracula, caught and bread as a slayer/protector for the Hellsing instituion. Its clearly shown that no "FREAK" can possed the powers of REGENERATION only a true immortal vampire can...... thats my 2 cents

hey you guys didn't answer why he cionsiders integra to be his master, well if you don't know yet it i sbecause when integra was being beat up by these guys, her blood splashed on alucard while he was still asleep in the corner of the dungeon she was in and he was then revitalized!!! *dun* dun* dun*

my theory was that alucard was the first true vampire dracula aka Vlad the Impaler. The reason i believed this was that 1.his name spelled backwards is dracula (but then i found out its a pun by the creator) and my other reason is the reason that the official hellsing book mentions that alucard has some relation and resemblance to vlad the impaler after all in episode (not sure what # but you guys know it better than i do) when the lightning strikes and hides half his face to reveal a another older one that looks like vlad the impaler and you can tell that there is resemblance in the teeth, eyes and well i guess thats it. well thats just my theory

This Alucard and Dracula's supposed son Alucard are different, the real legend or story of Dracula they don't even mention he has a son or a wife.
