Re: Need help! Which is better?
i would go with charizard for the best one
Struck out on the Philosopher's Stone again, huh? How am I supposed to keep funding this wild goose chase? Money doesn't grow on trees, there, chief! Ed, where'd you run off too? Oh, there you are! I couldn't see you over my paperwork
Re: Need help! Which is better?
The answer realy depends on what you want to accomplish. Fire red is a LONG game. there are two separate adventures in it that you must accomplish. If you want to keep your starter with you troughout the whole game, your best bet is Charmander. He is a Power pokemon. He digivolves the best, and its power is higher than the others slightly. He is a great Offensive pokemon, but somewhat weak in defencsive moves... Raised correctly you can unlock hidden moves and destroy all opposition. Squirtle is good if you want a more stratigical pokemon. If you want a hard-to-raise pokemon, go with the grass type Bulbasaur. The grass types are always herder to grow, but verry good in the end. Its all depending upon what you want to accomplish.

o.O You typed digivolve.... ^__^ Well, I picked Bulbasaur due to other random reasons but I'd have to say Charmander might be the best choice. Charizard is one of the best fire Pokemon made and is one hell of a sweeper
And yeah, as everyone's said, it's your choice... even though you've most probably chosen already XD...
Stormsangel forced me I swear.

Re: Need help! Which is better?
well i think it depends on the player.
if you chose
bulbasaur-a good starter pokemon for a beginner because it has a good attack and defense and you'll easily can go through the first, second and third gym.
squirtle-well squirtle has great defense and offense but lack a bit of speed.it'll be easy for you to beat brockeven if it has only learned bubble and surely by the time you get to cerulean city you'll be able to catch a grass type pokemon.
charmander-charmander has great offense and speed but not much on defense making it an easy target if you're battling misty and it'll be quite hard to get through gyms before the fourth one wherein you'll have a great advantage.that's why this pokemon isn't reccomended for beginner or newbies to playing pokemon cause it'll be hard to get through the first gyms.
