As I said in another thread, two outcomes are favorable concerning what Goku's PL was after he fused with the Dragon Balls: either Goku merely became the protector of the Dragon Balls and his PL was left unnoticeably changed, or Goku became the protector of the Dragon Balls and his PL also skyrocketed in order to accommodate hie new position. Personally, I believe the former over the latter because the Dragon Balls dont appear to work like the Shikon Jewel of Inuyasha, which is what the latter implies (albeit indirectly). Syn Shenron used them to increase his power, but he was a Shadow Dragon himself, there's a good chance it would affect Goku differently
