Haku was a GIRL, not a boy!
Re: Haku was a GIRL, not a boy!
Males can show physical attraction to males.
Those "breasts" could just be folds in his clothing. Who ever said it was a female kimono?
And why are you so obsessed with this?

Re: Haku was a GIRL, not a boy!
Not without being gay they can't. Are you trying to say that Haku was a homosexual male? Geez, the fanfiction just gets more and more ridiculous with you people doesn't it?
This proves she had breasts and that it could not just be a clothing issue. Believe it!
http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/4990/haku1ft9.png
The curve is at the top, which means it was wrapped tightly around Haku. Had it been loose, and thus producing a droop in clothing, then the curve would have been lower near the abdomen, not the chest. Plus, the part where her abs are is clearly tight against the body, which means that the curve is a result of breasts pushing the kimono outward.
I guess for this you would have to understand how gravity works.
As for the question of it being a female kimono... you must be color blind if you think it's not. It is pink, and it is feminine. Naruto even saw it as a female kimono since that is what he identified Haku as. So there you have a canon witness to it being a female kimono and also that Haku appeared to be a female. This is the same image that Zabuza called to memory before he collapsed on the bridge. This proves that he saw Haku as a female as well. Why would he see Haku as a girl unless that is what she REALLY was and that her "boy act" was just another deception like the whole "tracker ninja" deception?
Well I'll let you put two and two together.

Who says Haku couldn't have been gay? And guys were pink these days, too. It's not such a feminine color anymore.

Re: Haku was a GIRL, not a boy!
Well the series says Haku could not have been gay. Just look at the facts, particularly those surrounding Zabuza. He told Haku that he did not want compassion or encouragement or friendship right from the start, correct? Well that would mean that a BOY would have NO chance of being Zabuza's mate. Why? Well obviously because two males are not compatible. Yet Haku ignored this comment from Zabuza and still showed him feelings of love and compassion. She also found him attractive and even told him so to his face.
Now why would Haku do this after Zabuza told her that he did not need such things? Because she was a FEMALE who was thinking ahead. First, she could not ignore her NATURAL feelings, since girls have a natural attraction to males and for her she would logically be attracted to one of the only males in her life, Zabuza, the one who basically raised her. Second, she did not disregard these feelings for Zabuza despite his request that she do so, and that is because she was thinking ahead and planning for the future.
Haku was all about making Zabuza's dream come true, right? Well what do you think would happen IF that dream were to come true? Zabuza would be the leader of the land of water, and as leader he would obviously need children of his bloodline to inherit his throne. For this, Zabuza would need a WOMAN. Well what better woman to have as the mother of your children than the one that stuck by you for years and helped your dream come to fruition? And what better offspring could you have other than those who inherit a kekkei genkai bloodline trait from their mother?
Again, she held on to the feelings and expressed them because she still had a chance with Zabuza. It's just that the chance would not come until after Zabuza's dream was fulfilled. That doesn't mean she could not start flirting early though. Third, Haku was all about having a purpose, right? Well what better or longer lasting purpose could there be other than to be the King's Queen and mother of his children? None.
Now a BOY on the other hand would have no reason to be attracted to or show romantic interest in Zabuza. First of all, a boy would have no future with a leader of a country, other than to be a lowly body guard. Second, there would be no romantic relationship as Haku wanted, because two males cannot reproduce and because a leader of a country has an image to keep up. Do you really think anyone would serve under a lord who was gay? Of course not. Third, there is no purpose there. Once Zabuza would become a lord over the land of water he would take a wife or consort and have kids to ensure that his lineage stayed in power. I mean, from that point he might make a boy partner a high level general or have him train his kids to be great ninja, but this would be better accomplished by a male who did not bother with feelings of love and romance to begin with. That is why Haku could not have been a male, nor could she have been a gay male. It simply does not fit the facts of the series.
Now, if you want to see other facts that prove Haku was a girl, then I suggest you go back to the first page and read the first post. If you have specific questions then ask them and I will answer them here. Believe it!

Re: Haku was a GIRL, not a boy!
So males can't have feelings of affection? They can't tell someone that they find them handsome? And two males can be compatible. Are you homophobic or something?
And there have been many, many people that have served leaders that were gay or bi or whatever. Take a look at the ancient Greeks and Romans. Review your history.

Re: Haku was a GIRL, not a boy!
See now, here we go. So now I'm homophobic for being a REALIST and regarding the facts of the series? Males can have feelings of affection, I never said they couldn't. I didn't even say that they could not have those feelings for other males, just that they are not compatible. What I said was that Haku could not have had those feelings if she had been a boy. This is because of the FACTS I stated in my last post. Zabuza told Haku right from the start that he did not need compassion, encouragement, or friendship nor should Haku expect that from him. Zabuza made it clear that he did not want even a friend, let alone a mate. A boy Haku would have followed this order because there was no chance that Zabuza would be romantic with anyone, let alone another male. However, we know that Haku disregarded this order and that is a fact. This is ONLY possible if Haku had been a GIRL, and this is because of the reasons I stated in my last post.
Now what you're doing is ignoring what I wrote to you and instead trying to insult me and bring up irrelevant points. Try refuting my last post for starters. Tell us how it makes sense for a gay boy Haku to have existed and not the more logical straight girl Haku.
Haku did not find Zabuza handsome. Her compliment was not about Zabuza's face, which was mostly covered. It was about Zabuza's BODY. Maybe your memory needs refreshing. She said, "I wouldn't want to scar your flawless body..." and she said this while blushing. This is a clear indication of physical attraction. The logical and simple answer is that Haku was a straight female who was expressing natural feelings in a situation where she had a chance of being Zabuza's wife. The unlikely and impossible opinion is that Haku was a male, and because of this attraction must also be gay, even though such a relationship would have never worked. Moreover, Zabuza would have had to have been gay as well in order to tolerate such a thing. So your theory requires much more explaining and it requires fanfiction. You have no proof that Haku was a male first of all, and second you have no proof that Haku was gay. Yours is the most unlikely theory.
As far as history goes, it states that homosexuality has destroyed past civilizations no matter how great. I don't recall any homosexual leaders though. I doubt anyone would follow a leader who did not have an heir or at least a queen to carry on with the leadership role should the leader be dispatched. There were homosexuals in every country. That does not mean it was accepted in every country. Almost all of them fell because of that acceptance.
Besides, this does not apply to the Naruto series. What matters are the facts. All throughout the Naruto series, homosexual situations are made out to be jokes and embarrassing moments, such as the accidental kiss in the first episode. Haku’s reactions to Zabuza are portrayed as noble actions like that of a consort or wife. A male would not act that way. A male partner would be more like Kabuto, who is a servant and not a wife figure to Orochimaru.
So I would like to see you refute at least one thing I brought up here. So far you have ignored almost everything.
Haku did have breasts. –You ignored the picture and explanation
The kimono was female clothing, which is what Naruto concluded. –You ignored
Only a female would have had a chance at a romantic relationship with Zabuza. –You ignored
Zabuza’s vision of Haku before his collapse was that of Haku’s most feminine appearance in her female kimono. –You ignored
So be somebody and at least try to refute my points.

Haku wore the female clothing as a disguise. If you were walking around in hunter-nin clothing you'd be much more noticable and an obvious target for attack. If you diguised yourself as an innocent, fragile girl I don't think ninjas would be anchoring themselves to attack you.
And who are you to explain to a female how the gravity of her brests work? Seriously, I think we are quite aware how that functions.

Re: Haku was a GIRL, not a boy!
Nice theory, except for one small detail. If it had been a disguise then Haku would not have told Naruto that it was. In other words, a boy disguised as a girl would not reveal that he is a boy in a female disguise, especially to an enemy. I mean, don't you think that would kind of maybe... sort of... defeat the purpose of wearing the disguise in the first place? No no no. The clothing was natural clothing, and her statement that she was a boy was a deception.Mrs_Inuzuka wrote: Haku wore the female clothing as a disguise.
No duh.Mrs_Inuzuka wrote: If you were walking around in hunter-nin clothing you'd be much more noticable and an obvious target for attack.
They would if you went around saying that you're not a fragile girl. Hence this part of your theory does not make sense. Thanks for actually posting a relevant point in the topic though. Maybe you are a better Haku fan than I first thought.Mrs_Inuzuka wrote: If you diguised yourself as an innocent, fragile girl I don't think ninjas would be anchoring themselves to attack you.
Actually I was talking about gravity pulling the clothing into a droop, not her breasts. I said that if it had been a droop in clothing then it would have been at the abdomen (like the battle robe that Haku wore) not the mid chest as it is in the picture of Haku in her pink female kimono.Mrs_Inuzuka wrote: And who are you to explain to a female how the gravity of her brests work? Okay, well first I have to point out that Haku's female appearance is not the only fact that our theory relies on.Gorby wrote: If you think Haku is a girl I have a few characters to show you. there was a whole thread about this on another forum recently and some of these I'm still unsure about
Envy does not have a gender. It is a hymonculous that changes form, though it was spawned from Ed and Al's attempt to bring back their mother. However, it is obvious that Envy's regular form is not feminine. It lacks all key female traits.Gorby wrote: Envy

This character is drawn in a feminine way, but it lacks key female traits. Other than the face, it is obvious that this character is male.Gorby wrote: Nuriko

Jakotsu was drawn with many of the key female traits but not all of them, and his storyline clearly portrays him as a gay male. There is no reason to suspect otherwise.Gorby wrote: Jakotsu

Kurama looks nothing like a female aside from the long hair. Moving on.Gorby wrote: Kurama (I freaked out when I found out he was a guy)

Another male whose only feminine aspect is the long hair, thought this one's trait is more detailed than Kurama's.Gorby wrote: Kadsuki (another one I was embarrassed to find out about)

People who think that Deidara looks like a girl need to get their eyes checked. Even his hair does not match up with the female hair trait.Gorby wrote: Deidara
http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u225 ... aanime.jpg
Now, with the exception of Deidara, none of these prove anything because they are irrelevant to the Naruto series. This has no place here, frankly. This would be the same thing as me posting a list of nonconventional looking female characters from variour irrelevant animes and saying that Haku is just like them. Or better yet, posting a list of animes girls who pretended to be guys from various animes and then saying that Haku was like them and you should accept that.
You can't point to other animes as proof. That is like saying that a particular ship sank in the Atlantic Ocean just because other ships have been known to sink in it. Just because shounen-ai, or whatever it's called, characters exist does not mean that Haku was one of them. Believe it!

It is impossible to definately prove that something does not exist anywhere at any time. The burden of proof is on you to prove that it does exist.
I have however looked up many Kishimoto interviews and in none of them does he ever talk about Haku's gender. Even in one where he mentions Haku, he does not refer to her as male or female. Believe it!
