My first Anime was Iria, back when they played it on the Sci-Fi channel. Y'know, the Sci-Fi channel. Before it turned to crap. That and Dominion Tank Police. They both were played the same weekend.

yeah it was dragon ball cuase it come on at 5 here and then sailor moon I saw them both on the same day but technically the first I saw was DB

I beleive it was Starvengers (Getter Robo G, Force Five dub.) I didn't know the title at the time because over here Force Five anime were distributed by a company called Krypton Force under different names on the VHS covers. Starvengers and Gaiking became Formators and Spacekeeters became Sci-Bots. However they retianed the force five dub.

Ok, I'm going to be dateing myself here. If by the first anime you mean that you knew it as anime then it would be Robotech in it's first run on TV back in 1985.

However, before that I've watched Starblazers and Battle of the Planets back in the late 70's. When every one just called it Japanimation.

Now the credit to my first anime has to go back to a movie I saw when I was 7 years old. I didn't know what anime was or what and where Japan was at the time either. That movie was titled "Jack and the Witch"
