The Gundam Mark II, from Zeta Gundam, set in UC 0087, the Gundam Mark II is the sucessor to the original Gundam and also incorporates new 'movable frame' technology whick basically means that it has an internal skeleton and is faster and stuff. for more information, just go to http://www.mahq.net and go to the mecha section and click on the zeta gundam link to get to its mecha section

My favorites are also from Zeta Gundam, the Rick Dias and the Hyaku Shiki, but the most powerful and most advanced mobile suit is the Turn A Gundam. it is run by an i field generator, so it doesn't need actuators, and its body is hollow and capable of storing more weapons. with its Moonlight Butterfly nanomachine system, it is capable of turning metal and technology into dust, and the nanomachines are capable of repairing the damage done to the Turn A, although fairly slowly.

Actually I made a mistake, the Turn A is the most powerful gundam, the most powerful suit is The Turn X, it has all of the same features of the Turn A, but it has the ability to break its body into different parts, each capable of firing beam weapons (kinda like a beam funnels) and it's left arm/gun is capable of doing a very devastating beam attack that can destroy quite a few mobile suits in a single blast. http://www.Mahq.netsays that it is the Shining Finger attack, but personally, i don't think it looks anything like the Shining finger

Nice to see more UC Gundam fans showing up here, but I thought this thread was asking for favorite Gundams. The Rick Dias and the Hyaku Shiki while good were just mobile suits. Although some could debate the Hyaku Shiki was a modified Gundam.

If we were to include other mobile suits I would favor the Gelgoog, Geara Doga, the Sazabi, and the Neue Zeil. Then the Berga Geros was a good mobile suit too.

Gundam death scythe hell rocks! plus its cloak is neat,
and the double scythe is more durable than the original. becuse in its fight against zero it never ... well its just cool okay.

Gundam Seed: Tie between Freedom Gundam and Buster Gundam
G-Gundam: Gundam Spiegel (duuuuuuuh)

I am aware that not all of these mobile suits are actually Gundams.

what's with all the repeat posts? and you do know this topic is about favorite mobile suit, not favorite character? And Wing is not the best Gundam show, it is just the Best Gundam show that you have seen so far

U.C. ms are better then SeeD, I like Amuro V Gundam [Nu Gundam ] It had funnels, a hyper bazooka, Beam Riffle Custome, Magnetic Coating, Dummies, two small beam swords that comes out from its hand, the funnels go out and can attack and defend creating a barrior.psyco-frame, whose microscopic psycommu receivers enable the mobile suit to respond instantly to the pilot's thoughts. Beat that seed, cant touch this

Amen to that, though I always thought the Hi-Nu Gundam was better designed that the Nu Gundam.

Personally, some of my favorite designs include
The FA-010 Limited Production Full Armor Double Zeta Gundam (Sentinel Gundam)
RX-104 Penelope (Hathaway's Flash)
"Hyper" Zeta Gundam (Kazumi Fujita variation)
And of course the Turn A Gundam, which is pretty much a doomsday device.
In terms of power, this is what I consider to be the top 5 Gundams
1. Turn A Gundam
2. V2 Assault Buster
3. Double X Gundam
4. Wing Gundam 0
5. Xi Gundam
