Hm, I'd have to disagree about the impact on traffic, but I do agree with categorization. It never crossed my mind.

Why do you think the "traffic" has stopped?

well.. An idea for the keeping of old threads as well as keeping catagorization is, a new forum completely...

I mean, i realize its like, a lot of work for that idea, and that its prolly a waste, but, humor me for a sec.
We have a virtual clone of AA, except none can post, just read. And none registers, they just go and read. And its linked to from this forum.. so like, they go to the "off topic discussions" and theres a link somewhere that says something like "Ancient threads" and the user clicks, then it brings them to the "off topic Discussions" of the historic forum..

I dunno.. I think its a cool idea <,<;

Perhaps it could, but I really don't want to set up a whole separate forum... couldn't users just change the "Display posts from previous" from "All posts" to like "3 months". I can change the default for guests and new users.

To keep the forums interesting? Well I'm back so that should be all that's needed =D

XD. The only thing I can think of is maybe just randomly adding something in so people come on and are like "Ooooh what's that? Quick to the batcave to let all other past AAers know what's happened!" Cause yes, most people on AA somehow now have a batcave.

Not sure but I have another idea that might work.

Remove all the unused Sub anime sections and put some new ones there. That way there are new sections and that section will get used more often.

By remove I mean like put it in the dead zone or something.

I meant the more unpopular ones though such as Initial D. It only has 15 threads and last new thread was March 7, 2007. Last post in it was November 2, 2008.

Maybe. But what is popular enough to replace it?

Not sure. Maybe if Webmaster decided this was to happen a thread could be made and people could make suggestions of what ones should replace them and the most popular choices could be put in a poll for AA to decide.
