So there are different subjects such as kore: he kanojo: she anata: you watashi/watakushi: me then they have them plural Korera: them (males or females and males) kanojotachi: them (females) anatatachi: we, and then (I might get this horribly wrong) ano hito: this thing (I cant remember the others) but in Rurouni Kenshin he uses this one, what is that?

"Konnichi wa" 今日は wich literally means "as for today..", yeah, that is hello in Japanese.
