Well I haven't heard of the manga til about a week ago so we're debating the anime

Cougar would just speedblitz them before they can use genjutsu and without it they die instantly

Cougar really isn't that fast. I've seen the entire anime and read the manga. He is quick but it doesn't seem like he is moving very fast at all.

Whenever someone in anime or manga moves at superspeed the character disappears and you see only lines which signifies that they are moving so fast you cannot see them properly. Characters in Naruto do this casually all the time throughout the series. Ninja can also increase their speed by increasing their chakra and if you need speed right away then they can just open gates to move at crazy speeds. Yondaime is also extremely fast and can use the deady rasengan attack.

Furthermore, genjutsu is just one possible method to use to beat your enemy. Also Cougar has never encountered genjutsu before, how would he know that he should end the fight quickly before his enemy can use it? He is a happy laid back guy and isn't one to end fights right away. He likes to crack jokes and mock his opponents whereas ninja do not underestimate their foes and try to dispose of them quickly. This would prove a costly mistake for Cougar.

Cougar in the manga is stated to be faster than light. And the official site for the anime listed Ryuho (slower than Cougar) to be faster than light as well

And Genjutsu is useless against Crystal, Zetsuei, and Alter Alias because they are independent

I rechecked the manga, Cougar isn't said to be faster than light or sound nor is it implied. The official site is in japanese so unless you can read japanese I don't know how you found that out. I tried translating it with google but for some reason it won't work.

How do you know if genjutsu is useless against Zetsuei? Even though he is independent of Ryuho he still has a mind of his own and chooses follows his master's orders.

Untrue. Genjutsu targets the victims brain/senses in order to decieve them and make them vulnerable to other attacks. There are even genjutsu that can give you a mental collapse. An example of this is Itachi's Tsukuyomi technique which only needs eye contact to activate.

Many of the more powerful genjutsu do target the chakra network but not all of them. Eye contact is a key word, when dealing with FTL speed chars who he cant see, and it might work on one alter but I doubt they'll all be that stupid. Face it, Naruto is a weak universe, and even weaker without genjutsu

The Scryed characters are clearly not moving at light speed or any speed above it. I've said it before, I own the manga and have seen the whole anime. It was not stated nor implied that anyone in the series was moving at light speed or faster.

Naruto is not barely above normal humans. FMA definately is. But Naruto sure isn't. Could you survive a mental collapse? Could you really have passed the Chuunin Exams with your life on the line? Hell, even if you had a shotgun or an SMG you would still lose to a mere Genin. Saying that the Naruto cast is barely above normal humans is false and a very foolish thing to say. I would love to see you punch a huge crater sometime or perhaps kill someone just by tapping them.

I agree that DBZ, YYH, and Bleach are superior to Naruto combat-wise but the others will not beat Naruto. Especially not Bo^7.

Look, I got the info from a valid source, if you still dont believe me you are just stubborn.

Only 2 nin have shown that kind of raw strength. Guns>ninjas as stated by Kishimoto. And FMA, normal humans? Look at Father and tell me he's average. Id also like to see the Naruto ninjas defeat the homunculi.

Bo has logic defying powers. Tenchi is beyond DBZ. Digimon has gods on their side. Inuyasha has chars that can just send them to hell. Need I go on?

You are aware that they were slowing the animation down to show the action. If that wasnt the case, then Cougar's base form(which crossed the city instantly)would better than his prime form. Same goes with DBZ and Bleach, god knows how fast they actually get through it, but then we wouldnt see anything now would we.
