Time for a Japanese lesson, 行くぞ！

I need to know the differance between desu ka and arimasu.

desu ka is what you get at the end of a question sentance, I'll give you a little break down

Here is a sample sentance in Japanese;

Kore ha manga desu

Kore - This
ha - (pronounced "wa") indicates that the previous word is the topic of the sentance
Manga - Manga, you know, Japanese comic books
Desu - This means, in this case "is", it's different to english because it comes at the end of a sentance

So "kore ha manga desu" means "this is manga" to make it a queastion (and this works with anything) all you need to do is add "ka" at the end of it

So kore ha manga desu ka would mean "is this manga?"

Desu ka on it's own could possibly mean "is it?"

Arimasu is a verb that means "to exist" but it can only be used for things that are not alive

Well I'm trying my best to learn the japanese language but hey it's not that easy to learn japanese and sometimes I do have headaches after my class sessions. :sick: Anyway I'm not giving up yet.
