Actually... they overload any number of about five things:
CRT in monitor - causes heat to melt glass, lcuase wiring fires etc... it's a vaum seal so that will actually cause an implosion... (So can a properly placed lightining bolt... that'll do it to a TV too...)

overload your processor... that just melts..

Hard-Drive... that's a nasty one... it will either melt the storage plates, or overload the motor causing it to burn out... I did this to a pare 550 meg one in shop... sparks fly...then smoke...

CD drive - this won't cause too much damage unless you happen to have a disc inside... if you do it can be overspead to about 10,000 RPM (More than 2x what most can read at) this can burn out the motor), and worse it can cause the disc to shatter due to the forces, and the shards leave at a velocity enough to shread the metal casing like butter...

Power supply... this is well... the power supply to the comperuter, the cooling fan can be ovverloaded, which can start a fire, and will cause the powers supply to overheat... melting insulation is BAD...

That's about what I know about how to sabotage a computer...

I do NOT reccomend attempting any of this, as it is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS...
Warning: Do NOT try this at home!

Oh and to be on topic... get a good virus scanner and spyware and adware program and you should be able to run some of thse games safely, jsut scan afterwards to be sure (I run 3 virus and hte ther two on my CPU... and a firewall, and am getting a physycal firewall soon...)
