I don't think Yami's evil because he used the Seal of Orichalcos. Yami just has a weak disposition. He let himself be fooled by Rafeal in that duel and played that stupid seal, putting his life at risk. In the end, it wasn't him that got screwed, but Yugi. He had the decency to cry for Yugi, though, so that doesn't make him evil. Maybe he learned from the experience.

I think he was becoming evil after playing the card. But Yugi clensed Yami's soul in that duel.

Thinking about the original post, I'm starting to wonder. After all, Yami did play the seal with little regard to the consequences.

I know, he had no particular reason too.
Did he hate Raphael that much? He barely knew him and Yugi payed the price of his rash actions.
And he had a go at Weevil and Weevil actually said what I was thinking.
"You played the Seal even knowing the circumstance that you were endangering the life of someone close to you- now that's what I call power hungry and greedy!"
You gotta admit, for an annoying bug-boy he knows his stuff.
(Not that I think he's a bug-boy *Hugz Plushie*)
