i wish to no y u hate kikyo. is it the same reason i hate her? plz don't go die kikyo or any of our usual things in here. this is going to b a clean thread. if u start with our old ways, i shall tell a mod. i am sick of being yelled at personally. and supposedly so r u.

Right. So basically you just want to know why people dislike Kikyo.
Hmm, well I don't hate her, but she's not my favorate character on the show. Yet, I can think of reasons why someone would 'dislike' her.

All in all, I think people really just want Kikyo to be deleted from the show so Inuyasha will love Kagome and only Kagome.

In the show, Inuyasha loves Kikyo even after she tries to kill him numerous times, and the way he fantasizes about her ~constantly thinking about her (Adding onto the long list of FLASHBACKS that do appear in practically every other show) Kikyo says she loves Inuyasha but they can never be, but then she's got this jealous look in her eye when it comes to Kagome. She doesn't like her lol. Yet, then again sometimes she does. =|
xD! Confusing!!! ~ I guess the fans of the show think Kikyo is a you know what because of her attitude. She's also pretty mean to her sister. =| Now that's just plain wrong...

hmm...why do i hate kikyo; let me count the ways.
1) she is nothing more then a drama queen who can't get over the past and learn from mistakes, nor forgive, for that matter.
2) she insists that inuyasha attribute his life to hers because he should have died like she did. do you see monsters inu killed prancing around demanding kagome's life casue she was a bystander in their death? NO! if Kikyo wants a life for a life, she should so kill naraku, then it will even out, casue HE'S who killed her.
3) she's arrogant and self-righteous. who says "i'm free to hate, and free to love". she was free to love before in life, whether or not she chose to was her own doing.
4) she took on the shikon no tama, knowing full well what being it's preistess intailed of then tried to get rid of the jewel on inuyasha, by turning him human, so she won in all catagories; she'd be free from HER RESPONSIBILITY and have a cute human (with no kawaii ears) to show for it.
5) she thinks herself better then everyone around her.
6) she thinks she can just flash those worms of hers in teh sky like the bat-signal and inu will come running. (it makes me more mad that he does)
7) she GAVE NARAKU half the FRIGGIN jewel. that did it in for me!!! she says she wants to defeat naraku; that's dandy...just slice his throat open. but no...she GAVE HIM the jewel she STOLE from Kagome. do you realize that if she hadn't of done that; Kagura would never of been created (since he gained more power to make incarnations of himself), Kana would never of been created, all of those peices of himself would never of died, KOUGA'S KIN wouldn't have been slayen and all would be peachy since i'm sure inu could have wasted him by now!!!

2.she gave the jewel shards to naraku so she could (quote from Kikyo)"go and collect the jewel shards Naraku and once you have i will(or shall;cant rember)send you to hell."
3.she says "free to hate,free to love" because as a priestess certain things are looked down upon.
4.she tries to kill inuyasha because she still has blamed him for her demise and her shoul will not and can not rest in peace until she destroys her killer only later in the show when miroku shows up i believe does she find out that naraku is responsibly for her death

I’m not basing my judgment over Kikyo off one or two episodes; I’m basing my complete analysis of Kikyo off the complete series and all four movies. Answering the questions, or thoughts that you have provided, allow me to dissertate as to why I hate;

- is that any reason to KILL someone? I mean, come on…are you saying it’s OKAY to kill someone trying to make a move on a person you had feelings for? Morally? And not to mention, she is a priestess; to say this is bad is like saying Naraku might be evil! There is no reason to try to kill Kagome. now…on the lighter side, I know that Kikyo, when trying to kill Kagome in that dream forest thing, missed on purpose. Kikyo was a perfect archer, she wouldn’t miss a wide target ten feet in front of her. it was a warning, but never the less; playing with deadly weapons in an attempt to scare someone away from what you deem as yours is SO not cool

- let’s do some real world analysis on this. so…let’s say that I decided to hand my arch enemy a rocket launcher, aimed directly at my house, and tell them that they can hold onto it for a while and then, when I’m ready, I’m going to go after them. and you expect them NOT to kill me in my sleep? That’s the most faulty logic I’ve ever heard in my entire life!!! it’s giving Naraku all the friggin’ power then sitting back and pondering ‘hmm….i wonder why I can’t defeat him!’ AND SHE CAN’T! (you’ll see…)

- you’re right, she tried to kill InuYasha the minute she was brought back. Then, after learning the truth, she tried to DRAG him to hell with her, she has repeatedly sought him out to make his life hell, she’s insists that his life is hers, she won’t FORGIVE him, even though SHE was the one running late to meet him that day. If she had been on time, none of this would ever of happened!!!! (Trivialities just wait…)

- the soul collectors; she has sent them out to retrieve InuYasha a few times. They follow her beckon call, do as she tells them. they have flown above the trees and then returned to her with Inu in tote. If she wants him so bad, I think she should actually make an effort to go find him on foot. I mean damn, have some insufferable pride and march you’re way into camp.

- she supposedly loved. Come on, there was to much doubt in that relationship to do any good. Have you ever wondered just where the kotodomo-rosary came from? Only a miko could form it! it must have been made with the intent on subduing a Youkai….namely InuYasha! You call THAT trust? I call it pathetic. She says she loved him but wanted him to become human for her. Why? Because she wouldn’t accept him as a half demon, that’s why! She wanted him to change and to take away her responsibility to do so. That’s not love, it’s convenience. Maybe somewhere in her heart she loved him, but it was tainted, adulterated. And Inu…don’t get me started on his relationship with her. she was the first person to ever pay him attention since his mother passed; he fell for her out of lack there of better judgment (obviously if she wanted to subdue him).
Kikyo ain’t that all bad of a character, there are other’s who aggravate me more; but what I hate are people thinking her innocent from giving Naraku that jewel. She betrayed everyone to the worst extent doing that. it’s like asking to be killed….

Naraku created that big hole in the ground thing(the word has eloulded me)and kikyou just went up and took the jewel from her. And later on in the series(past the english anime) Kikyou helped Kagome by giving her this spicial arrow thing. And about her draging Inuyasha down to hell with her, she only did that once and it was before she knew Naraku was the one that killed her(I know he said that he didn't kill her but she oviously thought he was lying(she already thought that he lyed to her before))
