Gundam seed question

Hello all, I've recently watched Gundam Seed, pretty good anime, but I'm a bit confused with the relationship between Cagalli and Kira.

It's said that those two are siblings, but I don't quite get how that works. Kira is a coordinator and engineered from a lab while Cagalli is the princess of Orb. What's the connection between Kira's parents down on Orb, Uzumi, and Kira's real parents? I don't really recall the anime giving a good explanation of that, so any clarification is appreciated.

kira and cagalli are brother and sister. cause kira is a first generation coordinator, they probably only modified hi genes but not cagalli`s. thats my best guess and it would make sense.

yes, I'm not doubting the fact that they are brother and sister, I've already accepted that fact, it's just the little things that bother me, and the anime never tries to explain any of it. Things such as why Kira was engineered in the first place, why Kira and Cagalli were seperated. There just didn't seem like there was any point in separating Kira and Cagalli, unless the artist wanted mellowdramatic factors in this anime that badly.

well lets just say that this was a real life situation. maybe this was only an experiment to see the affects of two siblings, one a coordinator the other a natural, and separating them. its all just a theory. or maybe they aren`t twins, they could have a years difference in their age...

They just are, its anime. I mean theyre fighting in giant robots so letting Kira and Cagalli be coordinator and natural and seperated at birth isnt such a big deal. Anyways it could be that Cagalli father is Kira's too and just he and their mother split up and each took one.

I was just watching it last night and was wondering about the same thing. How can they be brother and sister. It seems a little confusing on how they can be. And its not like there trying to figure it out. They didn't even mention about it last night, even though they just found out the last episode before last nights. They need to look into the sitation more. But to me Cagalli and Kira do look a like. Has anyone else noticed that?

i'm a die hard G-SSED fan and they didn't show the fact that they were brother and sister till round episode 40 or so when lord Izumi (cagalli's dad) blew up orb and himself to escape from the war because they were pushed to chose sides, before he sent Cagalli off into space her gave her a picture of Kira and Cagalli as babies in their mother's arms and when she saw Kira she showed him the picture. The sucky thing is that the seires will be over soon it only has 50 eps. and on CN it's on ep 45 or so but there is an extra ep they will show afterwards but i'm sad i love that seires. and if u have any G-SEED questions i know it all!

well in episode 45 Kira finds out he was born in an artifical womb and is the Ultimate Coordinator which means the people he called parents were not his parents and his father is the man who "created" him we also ofund out in that episode that La Creuset is actually a clone of Mu La Flaga's father because he wanted to live forever.

I saw episode 45 and it drives me insane that they have La Creuset's mask shot off, but they still don't show his face! What is so horribly wrong with it that he has to wear a mask all the time?

I wanna know the exact same thing! I mean, they were so close and then his stupid hair had to go and cover his face...and since when does showing your face constitute the need to take almost a whole bottle of pills? Anyway, that's not the only time we've almost seen his face. There was one other epi that he was in his bed (sleeping) and his phone went off. In that epi his sheets were covering his face (woo! lose the sheets! yay!) sry...I had to add that...I like the commander...ummm...but apparently there is something wrong with his face because there was almost a horrified/shocked expression on Kira's face when the mask flew off. But my friend Katie was staying that night at my house then and we were both screaming at the TV that we should have been able to see his face! We were so close! And she doesn't even like him; she's just curious (or so she says ^-~) I think I talk too much...

-.- Yea..... Trust me, I was only wanting to know what he looks like because I was curious. I really do want to know what he looks like under that mask. You do talk alot.... I'm sure that we all could have guessed that you like him. He's an insane pill popper, not that it's a bad thing because insane pill poppers are cool.

THe pills are to control a hyper-accelerated againg process that destroys the internal orgas of many clones that people attempt to make, he was the first to probably make it past his childhood without sucumbing, and now requires the pills to sustain himself, chances are the mask is covering rot of some nature on his face from the symptoms... however I can't be sure..
