I have to say this is one of Bandai's better anime I'd put it up there with kiddy grade and .hack. It may be only 12 episodes plus one OAV long but it has nice feel to it. The animation is smooth and the story is very well done so much that it will keep you watching until the end. A well balanced mix of Drama and Fantasy in a well told coming of age story is really what makes this anime very oraginal. Now it may seem confusing at frist and maybe abit boring but stick with it. It'll get better more so around Ep.8 when the story starts to reach it's climax and becomes abit darker.

Basic Run Down: Ichika Tachibana is your average 14 year old girl with your average teenage life. That is until one day She comes across an old mirror in an abandoned campus building and a girl named Manatsu Kuroki hops out of it, offering her friendship and special magic powers to boot. I'm talking combing with elemental spirts and magical girl transformations. (this is where the Fastasy part coems in.)

However, unknown to Ichika these powers come at a high price but shes kept totally in the dark until the end and as a web of secrets, lies, and deception are starting to weve around her. Poor little Ichika must also deal with the issues of growing up as well. (the drama part of course.)

But yes it gets even better by the end of this tale Ichika must make a painful choice that will effect the fate of all mankind. What is this painful choice you ask? you'll have to watch and see for yourself (no spoliing from be.)

personal rating 4/5 (I felt it kinda speeds passed alot of character development when it comes to some of the minor characters. Other then that it's a great anime.)
