The Curse of North High

this is a story i wrote when i got bored in school one day. If i get good feed back i will write more

Salem, a tall, lanky girl, walked down the halls of North High School. She had been have the worst day and it didn’t help the fact that her best friend was pissed off at her for no reason. She was so late it’s wasn’t funny, not that anyone cared what she did. She was one of the “emos” that just blended in with the back ground. No one really cared about her, not even the teachers. Church mewed softly to his owner and jumped on Salem’s shoulder. Normally North would not let students to have pets but Church was different. She had to fight tooth and nail with the principle to let her bring him but she finally one and she was a little happier. As she turned the corner she came face to face with the person of her interest. His name was Chris and he wasn’t half bad looking. He was a bit taller then her and a little wider but not by much, he had a black and grey tee shirt on and blue jeans. Even though Salem liked him he certainly did not like her back. For you see the two were the worst enemies imaginable “what are you looking at?” he said like he demanded an answer back. “it was nothing…just a trick of the light” “good I don’t want anyone thinking you like me…cuz that’s nasty” the way he said the last part and the way he walked away made Salem wonder. Did he like her back? Another thing she noted was when he walked by, it got really cloudy and it was raining rather hard. The rain still fell as the bell rang for the last class of the day to start. People were pushing by her as she stood fixed in the spot she had encountered her love. “Salem! Get to class!” a voice shouted and she was brought from her trance. As she walked down the long, now empty hall, the chains on her pants clanged against her legs and Church was sitting on her shoulder purring softly.

Class had just started and Salem was sitting in the back “last hour” se was thinking to herself with a smallish smile on her face. She wasn’t really listing to the teacher talk about a famous piece of artwork she had required on a trip to France. “Ms.Roberts! Come quickly! A kid just passed out in the hall! Blood is everywhere!” a student by the name of Ashly was standing in the doorway, half in half out. She was screaming bloody murder at the older lady in the front of the class. Ms. Roberts ran out the door with half the class at her heels. Salem got up and walked out “no rush” she told church with a smile “Just another dead kid”. When she got there she looked at the seen Ashly was right, there was a lot of blood. Salem soon found a small trail leading to the men’s restroom. She walked in, not caring if anyone saw and to her surprise Chris was there and he looked pale. “Chris? Chris are you alright? You look….pale…” she said told him with a cautiousness in her voice. She took one of her fingerless gloved hands and pressed it to the side of his face. He flinched and drew back “Salem I’m not in the mood…just go away. All that blood….from…” his voice was shaky and scared. “Where did all of it come from?” “From Tim” “But there wasn’t a scratch on him” “It came from the inside…” “How?” “The monster…it reached inside of him...” Chris was crying and he hugged Salem’s small body close. She could feel his warm tears going down her back and she flinched as one went into one of her many bleeding cuts in her back. He stopped and looked at her “Are you alright? You flinched….did I hurt you?”
