These words ran through my mind a thousand times
"I miss you", "I love you"
And I often wondered, "do you miss me too?"
"Do you love me still?"
I knew, that if you loved me,
Like you said you loved me,
If you ever loved me,
That you missed me too and loved me still
I cry sometimes, because I cannot have you
First i smile, at remembering you
Then I laugh, at things we said, things we did
And finally I cry, because all that is over
I often wonder if you've forgotten me,
Though you liked to tell me you never could
How I wanted to believe you
And yet I couldn't let go of the doubt in my heart,
That one day I'd be lost from your thoughts
So I talked to you often
As a way of keeping myself in your life
And the irony is, that nowadays I forget you
And when I remember, I get sad
Because I realize that I had forgotten you
But that's life, isn't it?
Time passes, people move on, people forget
It hurts though because I promised myself....
That I'd never forget you
Even...even if you forgot me
I remember the times you hurt me
You hurt me bad and you hurt me often
But what does that matter?
No matter how bad or how often
I still loved you
And my heart was still yours
And even now, as I cry at your memories
I think my heart is still yours
The truest of the truths that I know
Is that I loved me, love you, will love you
For as long as my heart beats
And though my mind,
Ever forgetful as it is,
May let thoughts of you become distant
My heart will never forget
It can't forget a love like our's
Sweet enough to skip my heart beats
Just painful enough to let me know it's real
Lasting almost long enough to feel like a lifetime
How could it forget a love like that?
I don't think it could
And that is why I miss you
Which brings me back to wondering
Whether or not you miss me too
I hope that you do
But there are few ways of knowing
I could ask you
But I'm afraid to call you
In case you no longer wish to talk to me
I'm afraid that you don't
And instead of taking the chance
My oh so cowardly heart refuses
I suppose ignorance is truly bliss
I just wish I could have had the biss of "us"
Just for a littke while longer
