Question about Final Fantasy X

Okay, so start playing this game for the first time in a couple of years(last time I tried, I got totally stuck and quit. Now I'm playing it again and I'm a lot further than I was before). Anywho! When I got to the part when my party and I arrived in Luca, at the Blitzball tournament, even though I went through the tutorial slowly and as carefully as I could, I still didn't undersand it and I lost when it came to the tournament.
Were the Aurochs(sp) supposed to lose anyway, or were we suppoed to win? @_@ Because I totally failed, lol. Or, have any of you passed that level with a victory?

The odds are ridiculously against you. And when I say ridiculously, I mean that unless you have the Jecht Shot you won\'t win. I\'ve tried quite a few times and lost \'em all. My friend did beat them before, but he said the outcome didn\'t matter.

Still, it made me sad to lose even though it was expected. Poor Wakka...and poor Tidus too...

The outcome didn't matter? x.x what does that mean? what happened? do you know/remember? Or did nothing really change?

I felt bad for Wakka. I was so mad at myself. I was like, "DANGIT! I let him down!! D:" lol. Blah, who cares about Tidus, anyway. He's a snotty, annoying brat, lol.

You get a strength sphere for winning, but after that all the events that happen right after the game are exactly the same. I'm not too sure about further down the road, but my friend did say it wasn't really worth the effort >.<

I almost felt a little compassion for Tidus, seeing as how we was talking so much trash and then just couldn't deliver in the game and took the bench. That's a pretty big shot to his already over-sized ego.

Yeah, I guess you're right. xD ^^; lol. But like Tidus said, it was Wakka's game anyway. He was supposed to play it until the end. :3 Right?! ^_^

This game is so funny, i played it 2 days straight and only got upto the part where Yuna is supposed to marry that dude [Cant remember his name] but they get stopped, then they have an all out fight. I died like 50million times and got so pissed off i nearly broke the console, so i stoped playing the game lmao....thats my nice story...But yes i lost in the Blitzball tournament

I could do without the 'walk 5 steps and get stopped by a cut-scene,' but I guess that's how they keep the story going. Just wish you could skip 'em.

FFX was good and all, but after you finish it you never want to see it EVER again.

I know exactly what you mean, Jesse Kah. There was this one point, I can't remember where it was, but it was after we left Luca and before we knew that the crusaders were going to attempt to get rid of Sin. It was just in that long line/stretch that I kept dying. About after 7 tries I finally made it through, but barely(though it did feel like 50 million, hehe). Right now, at the part I'm in, we've just left the Djose temple and on our way to Moonflow, but there is this kind of plant like monster and it has 6000+ HP. It's so hard >_<; I'm sick of it. lol. I beat it once, but then came another one. I didn't even finsih beating the 2nd one, I just shut off the game and went to bed, lol.

I dunno if this has been said or not, but if you *DO* win, you get a wonderful little Strength Sphere...which is pretty damn useful that early in the game.

hey mars if keep encountering enimies ridiculously stronger than you, you're probably lost and that is just the game's way of telling you to go the other way. Anyway the only character who wasn't gay in that game was Auron. Now he's a man's man.

I won. With and without Jecht shot. But I'm so darn stubborn I won't carry on in the game till I won. My bf couldn't do it so I did it for him when he wasnt looking and he threw a tiffy and doesnt want to play it no more XD Five times with out jecht shot the first time, 2 times with jecht shot the second time and on my bfs game first go with jecht shot. I laughed cause he tried it like 10 times. im eeevvilll. tho im also stuck on Seymour the scary undead bastard

Blitzball + YHR = epic fail.

I suck at that game. I could NEVER win no matter how hard I tried. I couldn't understand the tutorial - and the concept just seemed stupid to me. I was glad it didn't play that large a part in the game because I'd lose every time.

I leant my FFX game to my friend for his FFXII. He hasn't asked for his game back, and I haven't asked for mine. quite happy.

Blitzball isn't really that difficult, Yami. XD It just takes a crazy overpowered Tidus to win. Seriously, All I had to do was take him across half the field and shoot. I almost always got a goal.
