I don't think that any excuse is good enough to give up on being happy, or to seek loneliness. I think that we as people need each other, and the more we isolate ourselves from the things that makes us happy, the harder that it is to get over it.

It's inevitable that sad things will happen in everyone's lives. People die, people go away, people get hurt, murdered, raped, and abused. It's one of those sad facts of life that we can't ignore but can't let it get us down.

I believe that we must learn to let go of all the things that way us down instead of carrying the burden of the world's weight on our shoulders. The sooner we learn to let go of things the sooner we could actually start to live. We must accept that things are out of our control, and that we can not control everything that people do to us. We can not make someone love us, we can't make someone like us. But what we can do is learn to become satisfied with who we are because hating yourself because of something that happened in the past is not the way to live life.

We must learn to control the things we can control, and stop trying to control the things we can not. Hating yourself is a slippery slope. Hating yourself makes you feel good at first, but you get addicted to it. You start to hate yourself more and more, and pretty soon it loses its effect, but you still continue to do it. Instead why don't we learn to love ourselves become content in what we have, what we have accomplished. I've been there. Believe me. I've been in the darkest parts of my soul, I know those streets better than I know the streets of my hometown.

But I'm slowly learning that everything isn't as bad as I thought it was. Nothing has changed but the fact that I realized that I do have people who love me, and even though my life is nothing special to anyone who hasn't lived it, meaning anyone but me.

The evil in us comes in comparing ourselves to other people. The way that they are, or rather what we think that they are. If I could only be like Jim with the swimming pool in the backyard and the fifty girls that he slept with in the last month. If only I could be as pretty as, as smart as, as popular as. All that is self destruction. All that overestimation of other people and underestimation of ourselves lead to our destruction because we're afraid to pursue the things that makes us happy.

Afraid of committing and failing, we don't commit to anything. I read something like that in a book, and the thing about it is it's absolutely true about today's society. We're afraid to take chances anymore because we're afraid of the fact that we might fail, so we fail ourselves so that we do not disappoint. That's a shitty way to live life and there is no excuse for it. Why bother living for something you wouldn't die for? What's the point in living a lie? You're always going to be the person you are, it's easy to say people change, but they really don't. Change is a new pair of underwear. What we do is condition. We condition ourselves to become the people that we want to be like because we're too afraid to be ourselves. Too afraid of rejection, but I bet that the people who we idolize go through the same [censored] that we go through.

We're a world of people conditioning ourselves to be big steaming piles of [censored] that have nothing to do but sit in their own stink. In order to get what we want we must take risks. I don't mean stupid ones, and I couldn't tell you what to pursue because the situation differs for everyone. But one thing that I have noticed is that everyone is the same when it comes to love. We as a species need love. It's something that makes life worth living, and in being in love we should never settle for less, only for the best. There is no reason to pursue a lie. If something is not working why waste tears on it? Love is a pure emotion that has become tainted with the image Hollywood portrays. Only attractive people can be in love, you must be this sexy to enter. That is not what love is about.

Love is not a physical trait. It's not something that you see. Love is something that you feel. You know the kinds of people that attract you, but the kinds of people that keep you attracted are the the special ones. The ones that could just look in your eyes and know that something is wrong. It's not always the person who always tries to make you feel better, but the person who wants to share your pain. The first person to pop into your mind when something is wrong, and one of the last people you would want to disappoint in this world.

One of the reasons why marriages end nowadays is because people have no idea what love is, and once they do, they think they're too old to do [censored] about this world.

We are the power of this world. It is not our world tomorrow, it is our world today, if you have the ability to read what I am saying you have the ability to make an impact. You do not have to blow up the Empire State building in order to make an impact. If you've learned something today and used it to better yourself in some small way no matter how seemingly insignificant you have made an impact. If you learn something but do not apply it you have learned nothing. The important of a lesson isn't for something to be taught, it's for something to be learned. It's about time that we stop trying to live our lives on the back of Hallmark cards and accept the fact that we are not perfect and never will be.

We can not be the person that everyone wants us to be, but we can be the person that we ourselves want to be, and we can be happy as long as it's something that we continue to pursue with all our effort for our entire lives. Life is something we live by experiencing, not by sitting in some dark corner pitying ourselves because we aren't where we or somebody else thought we'd be.

It's not about leaving on a great line to make it seem like you've said something great, it's about learning to see the world in a light that you have never seen it before. So if you're not satisfied with what you are because of the fact that you aren't reaching your expectations then shake your world up, do not settle for less, take whatever steps you can even if it's a centimeter at a time but do not go to bed the exact way you woke up this morning.

for most people, it might be hard to change their way of looking into the world, since their concept of what's wrong or right, of what they can or can't do, of what they deserve or don't deserve is too entraced on their minds. maybe one day they'll realise what's wrong with their lives and actually change their prespectives of this so called [censored] up world.

I think out of all that you've posted right now, I would say that I like this paragraph the most. Hollywood doesn't mean you have to look like that in order to love (i don't but i so wish that) and i feel that no one would love me because I'm not perfect, but I have and have had people love me with being Hollywood and it's a really nice feeling. Wish I could do it again.
