Hell's about to be raised again!

Four years after disagreements caused by studio Gonzo, it would now appear that creator Kouta Hirano is ready to bring Hellsing back into the world of anime.

Word is coming out of the MipTV trade show that Geneon Entertainment is going to produce a new OAV version of the Hellsing anime, this time with much more faithful adherence to the original manga (this was Hirano's biggest complaint about the last iteration).

We don't know for certain, but the nature of the announcement and the length of the manga series indicates to me a series of OAVs. As to the exact length, we don't know yet and probably won't know for some time as the details of how the series will be produced is finalized.

I wonder if they will start from the begining of the manga...i wonder this because most of the first 2 graphic novels is the same as the anime exept for a few things in the first.

And i hope they have some more kick ass music and theme song!!!

This is great news, since the Hellsing series had a very odd ending to it. I suspect that the OVA will only have 3 episodes like most OVA's. Since its truely based on the manga, I suspect it would be involved in a time setting midway of the series. But of course that's just me. I'm still waiting for news about Elfen Lied...

I haven't had a chance to see the anime yet, but Kenshin the Integra Fan has been kind enough to start scanning his copies of the Hellsing manga for me to read.

Another Hellsing??? OMG OMG that's awesome!!! Ep. 13 left it at sort of a cliff...wonder if they'll pick up from there...but if its based off the manga its sure to be great

I wonder if they'll keep the same voice actors? i hope so no one can do alu like they did . . . i love hellsing especially alu i have a fic if u want to read it it's on fanfiction.net and it's called Silent Night i don't know if it's good will y'all help me out? pllllllleeeeeeez?
