Anime In the UK?

Post by Dretlin »

I live in the uk and anime is not is big as i would like it to be, hardly any channels on tv show the movies or even anime series. i would like to see anime movies on the big screen, and have at least 1 channel devoted to the subject. Or could i be wrong :?: Is there something am missing :?:

Hmmm. I'm pretty sure anime would eventually enter the UK market massively soon.

It seems the best we brits can do is check our local HMVs or maybe import some DVDs. I remember when our Toonami channel played the likes of Gundam Wing, the Tenchi series and Outlaw Star. Now it only the Dragonball trilogy, Transformers Energon and old Pokémon.

That's a bit too early for my liking.

I was looking for the dish channel that is a pay one that shows only Anime. I can't get it here yet, it's mostly on the east coast of the US. I'm on the 'left' coast.

As for my dish, I have watched many on the Action Channel of Dish Network, on the TechTV which is what now, G4tv?... and of course, Cartoon network's Adult Swim. I get Netflix too, 3 at a time.. we are working on the 22 disk Ruroni Kenshien series now. Up to disc 6 so far.

I live in the Uk, too they had a thing on Sci-fi not long ago, ever watched that? and I know cable ain't so great anymore, for anime, kinda crud. But Sci-fi did this thing, witch showed tones of anime, Evangelion, Nadsico, Blue gender, Gaseraki, Bubble gum crisis 2040, and some awesome moives too, if ya missed all that tis a shame, coz I don't think they are doing it any more, if they are it's on at like 5-6 am in the morning ^^
