How do you prefer your anime? Subtitled or Dubbed?
Do you guys prefer to watch Anime subtitled or dubbed? As for me, I feel that anime is not just a cartoon, and that it is a work of art. I feel that by changing it (dubbing, editing, etc...), it degrades it, and is no longer fit to be art. In addition, it insults the seiyuu who work hard to bring their characters to life. (please note that I have only heard dubs from Animax-Asia, and to be honest, they are quite horrid)

I prefer subbed. It suites the theme more.
I like to watch anime both subbed and dubbed.
Subbed is always better, but dubbed can still be good.
I don't like how dubbing can ruin the meaning.

Subbed is so much better! Dubbed just ruins all the fun!

It's more accurate and more interesting in Japanese with subs.

I like it dubbed in other languages mainly because I am too lazy to read the screen.

It counts on how good the dubs are. If there good, I'll listen to them, but if there not good, I just go sub. Sometimes I even use subs with the dubs. ^_^ Also, yes I'd rather listen to the seiyuu's original voice acting then anything else.
Yes, I'm back. For real this time. I swear it to the high heavens.

I prefer my anime subbed. Sometimes I am irked by the spelling mistakes
or grammatical errors that make me go "WTF?" But I have to deal with those
since I can't understand Japanese and would rather not hear the voices of
those who butcher the character.
And some people just can't scream very well.// I did, however, enjoy listening
to Cowboy Bebop: The Movie in French.

Well, it depends on the dub. There is getting to be more money in anime. Consiquently, the voie acting is getting better. Most of the stuff ADV turns out is quite good. I actually like Saiyuki and RahXephon dubbed best.

I take it anyway I can get it. I've watch it before with out the benefit of the subtitles or dubbing.

I deffianitly perfer subed to the English dub, however, I rather watch the dubed versions of the anime then not watch it at all when subtitles aren't available to me.

You haven't heard Asian dubs before have you? The best of Asian dubs are comparable to the worse of American dubs, which is why I hate them. I thought that most US dubs were very good when I went to the US though.Angel of Darkness wrote:I deffianitly perfer subed to the English dub, however, I rather watch the dubed versions of the anime then not watch it at all when subtitles aren't available to me.

Dubs have improved considerably over the years. Funimation has decent dubs now, A.D. Vision usually has good dubs, Central Park Media and VIZ are usually hit and miss.
As for my preference, I don't care either way. There are times where I just want to sit back and listen, instead of read, but I do enjoy subs.
