what was the first anime you saw?

Okay so dig into memories and try to remember what was the first anime you saw.I saw Sailor Moon and I remember I was veeeeeeeeery young(im thinking around 4-7

)...and also When/How did you find out that the shows you are watching are anime?and what impressed you?

PS.I found out about anime maybe like two years ago or so, and now I cant stop watching it. *wonders what makes anime so special*

The earliest I can rememeber are the Force Five anime. Can't remember which one exactly but I know the were among my first. This of course was a long time ago.

hey umm.....im not sure what the first anime i saw was.......i guess DBZ....i dont know when i found out it was called anime.
but samurai x is what got me into anime

I recall seeing <b>AKIRA</b> in 1990.
It was incredible! To this day I am in awe of the entire story and art work. It was the 'switch on anime' time for me.

<b>Starblazers</b> on TV.... ack. This was when??? 1970's.
How old was I? er... 8, I think. I thought the story was beyond little minds.. so didn't know what to think except the motion and action caught my attention.

I did say I was old as dirt.

Hmmm...my first anime had to be Voltron back in 1992. I was so into the X whenever the attached together back then. But of course my favorite anime is still Shingetsutan Tsukihime.

First anime I saw was probably Astroboy when I was 4, but the first anime I actually considered 'anime' (as opposed to 'cartoon') was probably Love Hina in 2002/2003.

it was either speed racer or dragon ball...man, me and my cousin watched dragon ball so many times together...we were constantly talkin about it...so our parents banned us from watching it for a month...it was funny
