Who else thinks Chrono Trigger is the ultimate RPG of all time?

Did you get the good ending where you have to have the chrono cross element equipped during the final boss fight against the devourer? Then you just cast any color element in this order; Yellow, Red, Green, Blue, Black, White and then ChronoCross... As long as the elements appear in that order at the top of the screen, you defeat the Time Devourer and free SchalaBun_ny wrote:Playstation one. Well, I can't say much about the series because I haven't really played it before, but I do own Chrono Cross, and all I have to say about that was Great Game, but ending sucked.......that is all. The answer to your question would be no, in my opinion.

Chrono Trigger was included in the Final Fantasy Chronicles game for PS1. It had added FMV sequences, and the ending was updated so that it ties in closer to Chrono Cross. I love both games, but CT will always be my fave... Long live Magus!!Soushi Okita ^_^ wrote:smelly google....![]()

... ... ... Of course if you did this already and you still hated the ending, well, guess your not a Chrono fan. You'll just have to play Xenosaga like the rest of us
And Final Fantasy 10-2 has a special ending as well. If it weren't for that, the game would have sucked completely...I still don't think it was a very great game anyway...too many loose ends from ff10 and 10-2 just made more of them

re: Chrono Trigger
Ok, this is Darkbear, and I just so happened to come across this........ For some reason unknown. And I have to say that Chrono Trigger is my fovorite game! In fact, I love the Chrono Series, and I know everything about both Trigger and Cross.
Trigger's on both SNES and PS1 .... Only different thing about them is that there are some FMVs on the ps version, and there's a System file (And mine is complete ^^)
Here's another thing - Alot of Chrono Fans don't know about "Radical Dreamers (A Text Adventure game, second in the Chrono Series... otherwise, it came out before Chrono Cross.)" , and the Making of Chrono Break (It's Chrono Brake in Japan
). Anywho, it seems that Squares lacking on making that game right now, and it seems that they're probably not going to make it, but for some reason, they keep the name. So I dunno about that
Anyway, Chrono Trigger and Chrono Cross kick major ass, and I suggest it STRONGLY to anyone who has never played those games.
P.S - The ending sucks on Chrono Cross IF YOU DON'T BEAT IT RIGHT ( Which means if you just kill the Time Devourer) . THAT'S THE WRONG WAY!!!!!!!
Master Darkbear has Spoken... In guest Form.... and that doesn't count....... as a post... cuz I deleted my account... cuz Serenity and Malice left..... ..Ok, I'm gonna stop talking now.

re: Chrono Trigger
Just came Across Bun Ny's post, and HE'S RIGHT! That's the RIGHT way to beat the game...
That music and ending gives me chills, it's awesome
The music's like a mixture between Schala's theme off of Chrono Trigger, and Kid's.... Which makes total sense, if you're smart enough to even begin the mind [censored] of a Storyline it has.

re: Chrono Trigger
I know about Radical Dreamers, but it's pretty f**king impossible to find. Can't even seem to find a rom for it. oh well, anyway, I think the CC story is pretty easy to follow. Once you get to the Sea of Eden it all rolls out for you. I felt bad for Kid when Lucca's orphanage burnt down and Lucca was 'killed'. (I'm still not sure about that, btw where the heck was Crono and Marle during all this?) Also... is it just me or does Guile look very familiar...? Hmmm, perhaps Janus wasn't as far away as we were led to think...
I never actually played Xenogears...
