Description: Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo
In this modernized Sci-Fi retelling of the Alexandre Dumas novel, the classic revenge story is told from the viewpoint of Albert de Morcerf, the son of a famous General from Paris. He eventually makes a fateful meeting with a rich nobleman named the Counte of Monte Critso.
After befriending the Count, Albert begins to wonder what the enigmatic Count's true motives are. However, the Count is quietly plotting an intricate plan of revenge against his father, the same person who left him rotting in jail, while stealing his fiance in the process. Albert's life turns around and finds a world of backstabbing and deceit among the luxurious life of the Count.
