Anime Description: ARISE: Ghost in the Shell

ARISE: Ghost in the Shell is an OVA series that tells of the origins of Motoko Kusanagi and the creation of Section 9. Taking place in 2027, following the events of World War IV, Kusanagi is a Master Hacker who encounters Public Security official Daisuke Aramaki during a murder case they are both investigating. Hiring her for incredible talents, they encounter other individuals who will soon become the cybernetic investigators known as Section 9. However, trust is a limited commodity and Motoko will soon learn what it means to work as a team as they encounter many technological threats to the stability of Japan.
