Character Profile: Souta Higurashi

Souta is Kagome's younger brother. He does not travel into the Feudal Area like she does, but he is just as brave as his older sister. He tried to go once, when a Shikon shard made its way to the present and Kagome was busy trying to lure it away, but was unable to because he had no shards. InuYasha came through, though.

Souta likes soccer, and gives his sister notes from her classes when she's home so she won't fall behind. Souta also listens to his grandfather's stories, but doesn't believe that they are anything more then stories.

Souta looks up to InuYasha like a brother, and developed a crush later in the series. Coaching from InuYasha and Kagome helped him get over being shy.
