Character Description: Shizuma Kusanagi
Kusanagi Shizuma is the male rival of Mitsurugi Ryoko, Azumi being the female rival. In the anime, Shizuma appears to have known Ryoko before the series, but in the manga, Shizuma was introduced in book one, helping Ryoko with a little gang problem, but making enemies with her soon after.
Shizuma is capable of using a technique, the name of which I can't remember, and it is not fully mentioned exactly what it is in the anime. Besides the rivalry between him and Ryoko, he seems to genuinely care if Ryoko is unhappy.
