Although there is no longer any need for armed conflict, there are still competitions using bladed weapons in the country. At Sunpu Castle, the home of Lord Tokugawa Tadanaka, two samurai combatants are about to fight: a strange contest to be sure, for one of them – Seigan Irako- is blind and crippled and the other - Gennosuke Fujiki - is missing one arm - but the two swordsmen are VERY familiar with each other, both in history – and their hatred for one another!
