Yorito Morimiya loves taking photographs of the sky, at sunrise, sunset and any other time of the day. One day, whilst waiting to take a snap at the sunrise, he is distracted by a young girl kicking a vending machine. He finds out the machine has "stole" her money and he offers to help the girl get her drink. As he frees the drink, he then notices that the girl has vanished.

Afterwards, Yorito and Matsuri meet again, Matsuri has a dream to see the daytime sky but is unable to see it as she is a Yaka. On top of this, Matsuri is being chased for some reason by a man named Takashi.

Sola is a romance, slice of life and a drama anime, which has also been created into a manga.
