Anime Profile: The SoulTaker

One night, a young man named Kyosuke Date is stabbed by his own mother and left for dead in a Catherdral. He is buried alive until he is dug up by a mysterious girl. Confused and frustrated as to why Kyosuke's own mother would try to kill him, he searches for answers, as well as for her long lost sister.

Kyosuke also learns that he has powers and the ability to transform into the super-powerful mutant SoulTaker.

However, his search will not be an easy one. He faces an organization called "The Hospital" that performs horrible experiments, and creates "Flickers" which are fragments of a person's soul. Kyosuke encounters various flickers which assume the form and personality of his long lost sister. Kyosuke himself becomes hunted by the Hospital, and he also discovers that his past and his origins may not be what he expected....
