Character Profile: Barry Gallagher

Joji Minami is a space pilot, the son of Dr. Minami and a compatible wave spectrum to don the Tekkaman armor. He is impetuous, passionate and adventurous, follows his instincts and defends the planet with courage.

Tekkaman is invincible with the Tek Set and literally cannot die, unless he gets attacked or revert back to normal within 37 minutes and 33 seconds. He was shown to withstand extremely high and low temperatures with relative ease; even temperatures that are hotter than the surface of the Sun. He literally has no practical weakness as it was shown in the series-immune to physical, energy, high temperature, radiation, and attacks in various forms. Space debris and even bullets that fly at great speeds-which are extremely dangerous-simply get deflected when coming into contact with Tekkaman's armor.

It is said that Tekkaman's physical capabilities are over ten thousand times stronger than a normal adult man.He was shown to be capable of pulling huge Space ships with his strength and in some cases, swing them after catching them with his Space Lariat.

Tekkaman's Space Lance is his weapon of choice. Other abilities and gadgets at his disposal include the Space Lariat, Spur Cutters, Power Crush, and the Voltekka (a powerful beam from his forehead emblem).
