Anime Profile: Final Fantasy X

Tidus (a blitzball player and Zanarkand citizen) is transported from his own time into the future by a monsterous fiend called "Sin". Here, his city is nothing but old ruins, machina (machines) are forbiden, and Sin tarrorizes the world. He meets new friends and enemys as he is introduced to this strange new place, Spira.

Along the way Tidus meets a new summoner named Yuna and along with her gardians (Wakka, Lulu, and Kimahri) follows her on her pilgrimage. This will take her to all the temples in Spira where she obtains new aeons that will help her defeat Sin and bring the calm. Tidus also becomes a gardian to Yuna.

Tidus also finds a friend from his own time, Auron. Auron follows the group as a gardian of Yuna's father, High Summoner Baska (who died ten years ago), and now Yuna's gardian. Auron informs Tidus that Sin is his father, Jecht (who also died ten years ago). Jecht is now one big fiend*.

*A fiend is created when a person dies and is not sent to the Far Plane by a summoner. If the dead are not sent they begin to envy the living. Soon they hate the living and become fiends that attack anyone in their path.*

Tidus now finds that he must fight Sin with Yuna in order to save Spira and his father.
