It's not all Pokémon GO Posted Sep 15, 2019
Pokémon GO took over the mobile gaming world when it was released back in 2016 and it’s the clear leader when it comes to anime-based mobile games. However, it’s not all about Pokémon GO and hunting down the famous Pikachu, Bulbasaur, and Squirtle characters. If you look a little deeper into the anime world then you’ll find many other titles worth playing that will give you a fresh anime-fueled adventure. We’ve got five different mobile games that we think you’ll love, so let’s jump in and see what anime delights are waiting for you:
Doraemon Gadget Rush

Doraemon is an anime celebrity in his own right in Japan. But those who live outside of the country may not know the madcap adventures of this blue robotic cat. In his own mobile game, Doraemon Gadget Rush, you’re responsible for helping Doraemon recover all of his gadgets from alien techno-thieves! It’s pure Doraemon madness and we love it. Play through hundreds of tile-matching puzzles as you unlock weapons and level-up your character. You can even unlock Doraemon’s friends to help along the way and there are daily prizes to be won in the lucky daily draw. Doraemon Gadget Rush is a quick and easy game to get into and it’s sure to keep your anime cravings satisfied.
Moon Princess Slot Machine

Moon Princess might not be a standard slot machine. But if you are a fan of real money online slots, and pretty manga girls guarding the galaxy sounds like your kind of thing then step right up! This slot game might look cute on the outside but it packs a punch when it comes to potential prizes. The top prize available in Moon Princess offers up to 5,000 times your original bet. The slot game comes with plenty of features and although we found the free spins bonus hard to reach, it’s definitely worth being patient for with the prizes on offer. The Moon Princess slot machine is a surprisingly entertaining slot game that offers a handful of features to keep the fun spinning.
BanG Dream! Girls Band Party!

BanG Dream! Girls Band Party is an energetic musical and rhythm-based mobile game that ticks all the right boxes for anime lovers. The game is based around taking control of your own girl band as they start out on their journey to stardom. You’ll get to know each character and their background stories before you step into the ‘Live’ and ‘Story’ modes and the central rhythm-based gameplay. This is made up of the classic rhythm game components of hold and drag notes, tap notes, and flick notes. It’s easy to pick up and you’ve got several difficulty levels for those already well-versed in the dance and rhythm gameplay. We think this game has a deep enough backstory to keep you engaged, and dancing, for plenty of weeks and months to come.
Fire Emblem Heroes

Nintendo’s Fire Emblem Heroes is the company's most successful mobile game to date. The tactical RPG has even outperformed Nintendo’s legendary plumber Mario in the mobile-based Super Mario Run, which clearly shows the overall popularity of this game since its release in 2017. The game takes you on a journey to several Fire Emblem worlds in which you’ll battle it out with legendary warriors who have been enslaved by evil empires. Defeat the warriors and they’ll be free to join you on your journey. It’s a simple storyline but Nintendo has a special way of putting you right in the middle of the action. Since its release, Fire Emblem Heroes has become a classic RPG with extremely fun battle modes to enjoy as you carry out your warrior-saving mission! It’s Nintendo after all, so what’s not to love?
Fate/Grand Order

Fate/Grand Order is a game for the anime fanatics and if you want to fully enjoy it then you’ll ideally know something about the game’s background. Does the Nasuverse ring any bells? If not, the Nasuverse is the Fate Universe from which several anime novels and games have already spawned. Essentially, to try and summarize the game, you play a young research candidate who ends up in charge of the not-so-small job of preserving humanity. You can expect deep storylines and plenty of battle action to keep any level of anime fan amused, but it's the existing fans of the Fate series that will get the most out of the game, for sure.
