It's an online manga series that focuses on gambling, plus it also has an element of LGBTQ. It can be classed as a mystery, thriller, and physiological drama, and the story is about a young girl, Yumeko Jabami, who arrives at Hyakkaou Private Academy. More about Kakegurui
In short, you can learn about several different forms of gambling, how to take risks, and how to cheat in certain situations! The storyline revolves around a privileged school called Hyakkaou Private Academy, which has a unique curriculum: gambling. All of the students are from prominent wealthy Japanese families, and the institution teaches them how to be the best gambler. The main star of the show is a new transfer student called Yumeko Jabami.
When this gambling prodigy bursts onto the scene, she really teaches the students what the term 'high roller' means by completely turning things upside down. Throughout the series, you will see various forms of gambling, mainly relating to card games. You will also see a lot of cheating methods used by certain students to try and gain their edge and stay at the top. Many of the games seen in the show can also be found at real money gambling sites, such as the Comeon Casino platform.
Yumeko Jabami has an affinity to high-stakes gambling and taking risks, and she has little concern for the outcome, which is what makes her such a good gambler. She has a voracious attitude and is ready to win everything. The hierarchy within the school is based on each student's gambling abilities, with the rich winners living like royalty and the poor losers living the total opposite.
