Description: Astro Boy
In this new re-imagining of Astro Boy, Metro City is a floating city situated high above the polluted Earth. Here, humans and robots share a peaceful coexistance. Dr. Tenma, a respected scientist, loses his son Toby in an accident involving two mysterious sources of energy. In his grief, he recreates Toby as a robot (who is later nicknamed Astro) and gives him all of Toby's previous memories.
Upon learning he's a robot, Astro is rejected by Tenma and is chased into the surface below the city. Befriending a group of orphans, he learns of his true destiny to bring peace to both humans and robots. But an evil military general plans to use the mysterious energy for his own greedy purposes, and Astro may be the only hope of saving the day.
