Character Description: Monk Gyatso
Gyatso was a father figure and mentor to Aang. He was a kind hearted and loveable old monk who Aang respected and trained under. Gyatso didn't agree with the elders making Aang constantly train with very little play. He became upset that the elders felt that the emotional bond between the two was getting in the way of training and wanted to take Aang away from him.
The night that information was told to him, Gyatso went to Aang's room to tell him he wouldn't let him be taken away... only to find that Aang was not in his room.
Gyatso was killed by the Fire nation during their attack, his remains are later found by Aang when he returned with Katara and Sokka.
