Character Description: Shunsui Kyouraku
Kyouraku is the baroque, easy-going Captain of the 8th Division. He may be a powerful captain that was trained under Yamamato-Genryuusai Shigekuni, Captain of the 1st Division, and one of the first captains ever to enlist in the Gotei 13 along with Jyuushiro Ukitake, in certain situations when a fight may be necessary to settle problems, he would always try to talk his way out of it and take the path with the least violence as possible.
His zanpakutou, Katen Kyoukotsu, is one of the two zanpakutous that its shikai is a zanpakutou pair (also along with Jyuushiro Ukitake). To release it, Kyouraku must recite a poem-sort of command which is longer than most zanpakutou commands. When released, the daisho (katana-wakizashi) pair becomes a pair of over-sized scimitar-shaped swords. Katen Kyoukotsu's ability has not been officially determined yet, however.
