Character Description: Falcon
This virtual mountain of muscles made his first appearance in the City Hunter TV series when Ryo was hired to protect movie star Yumiko Sato from a mysterious assasin who had been stalking her. The "assasin" (who never actually intended to harm Sato) turned out to be an old aquaintance of Ryo's--Umibozu.
They were once both mercenaries serving on opposite sides during a war in Central America. Now, like Ryo, Umibozu is a "sweeper" in Tokyo, and the two are not quite friends, more rivals who respect each other and sometimes grudgingly lend each other a hand.
On the side, Umibozu helps out at a coffee shop called "The Cat's Eye" (an ironic name, since one of Umibozu's few weaknesses is a phobia about cats!). Despite his incredible physical strength and skill with weapons, Umibozu is also surprisingly shy when it comes to women ("Well, people come in two kinds. Men and that other kind, right?"). His true love is Miki, once an orphan in Central America, now the owner of the Cat's Eye and an aspiring sweeper herself.
To sum up, Umibozu is a mysterious man who seldom speaks. As he put it to Ryo, "we're both denizens of the underworld. As such, we have a certain image to maintain".
