Description: Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within

In this Sci-Fi story based loosely around Final Fantasy, The Spirits Within takes place in the desolate and distant future, where most of humanity has been wiped out by mysterious alien creatures called Phantoms. These beings can steal a human's soul just by mere touch. The survivors are forced to live in domed cities while they calculate new ways to save mankind and take back the planet from the Phantoms.

Many theories have been attempted and many have failed, until one woman named Aki Ross finds a possible solution. She theorizes that Earth can be saved by finding the different Gaia spirits. However, her theories are unpopular with the government. Even worse is that Aki herself becomes regarded as an enemy when a Phantom accidentally possesses her. But with this she discovers the truth of the Phantoms and only a select few join her to help find the Gaia Spirits.

However, they face opposition by the trigger-happy General Hein. To make matters worse, time is running out and the Phantoms are closing in on Earth's last civilizations. Will Aki's theories truly be Earth's salvation?
