Character Description: Rei
Rei is the successor to Nanto Suicho Ken (South Star Waterfowl Fist) and one of the Nanto Rokusei Ken (Six Sacred Fists of the South Star), being the Star of Justice. When Jagi, who was impersonating Kenshiro, kidnapped his sister Airi, he gave up his humanity to find him, even eating dirt to survive. Rei was hired by the Fang Clan to get in Mamiya's village, but betrayed them and fought back with Kenshiro. Rei went to the Fang Clan's hideout with Ken and Mamiya to defeat their leader, King Fang. However, King Fang had Airi and used her to make Rei fight Ken. Both Rei and Ken hit each other's pressure points to fake their deaths and Rei was reunited with Airi after King Fang died from Ken's Ganzan Ryozan Ha (Mountain Cutting Wave).
Rei became one of Kenshiro's most trusted allies, helping expose Amiba, who was impersonating Toki, and went with Kenshiro to Cassandra where the real Toki was defeated. Rei fought Raoh and was hit in a pressure point that made him see the Shichōsei (Death Omen Star) making him have 3 days left to live. His final battle was against Juda, who had made Mamiya one of his captives before she escaped. Rei was cremated at the end of Chapter 2.
