I mean, WHY?! What's wrong with anime?! Personally, I think their animation and voices (in Japanese version) and their openings are better, WAY better than our crappy ones! Sure, in the Japanese version they tend to cuss and there tends to be WAY too much blood and violence and crap but WHO CARES?!?!?!?!?! It's just the way it is!!!! Sheesh! We have some cartoons like that here in USA! Remember Simpsons, Family Guy and American Dad and South Park? Exactly! Comments, anyone?

Well, everyone has a reason for everything. If they don't like it then leave them alone. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. And by the way, there's no cursing in the Japanese language. It's one of 3 language that technically has no curse words. It all depends on the age of the person who says it and in what manner. Anyway, if people don't like anime, they don't like it. I mean, there are people (like me) that don't like American Idol, and no one makes a big deal about it. What can ruin anime for people though are those that call themselves "otaku". I don't mind that you're a big fan, I'm a huge Star Wars fan personally, but you have to learn how to control your behavior. People see how some otakus act and live and are scared off. I know I was in the beginning. Hell, sometimes you guys an still scare the crap out of me. I don't mean to offend anyone, but if the fans could tone down their behavior and allow others their opinions then people will probably give anime a chance. But remember, it's just a cartoon and some people don't like cartoons. And by the way, the American versions don't always suck. I'd personally rather watch those than the Japanese version only because my English reading can still be a little uh...well...it's not perfect and I can rarely find Spanish or French dubs. I think I've covered just about everything in this topic. If I missed something please let me know.

I disgree about the dbz making people hate anime, thats still the show that got me in to anime, and alot of my friends who arent even into anime watch dbz, I think the biggest reason are that people who watch anime are perceived as being nerds. Ignorant people are always going to hate what they dont understand.

nerds wow that's laugh in a half the nerds at my school hate anime for that matter every nerd I have talked to (I hate talking ot most nerds they are rude) are into amercian comics star trek and halflife whatever that is the anime fans at my school are mostly goths ,emos or punks ( I am not just saying that the anime fans in genreal I know or see are in they own little punkey world) I am a hardcore skater punk and I love anime sry never heard of anime being a big nerd thing I am in an anime club at school they are all emos,goths,punks and asian biker looking people plus the odd hippe or grunge chick as well wow whoever steriotyped that one knows nohting.
